You split the first index entry into two, add a colon to get the See also
text on the next index level, and escape the semicolon with backslash:
<$startrange>autoconnecting;<$nopage>autoconnecting:<Emphasis>See also
<Default Para Font>flow tags\; text flow
(I haven't tested this; it might be that you have to split the marker into
two if <$startrange> affects the entire marker.)

All the formatting of the generated index is controlled on a Reference Page
called IX. The formatting of page numbers is controlled by the IndexIX
paragraph, which normally contains the building block <$pagenum>. Change
the formatting of that building block by using a character tag.
