I guess you mean finding text within a cross-reference instance, such as
the word "Text" in the x-ref "see 'Whatever Text in a Heading' on page 99"?
No, this cannot be done by the search function built into FM.
You would have to use one of the following methods:
* temporarily converting all cross-refs to text and search the resulting
document (double-click an x-ref, Convert to Text, All cross-references)
* write a FrameScript (if you have FrameScript)
* use a 3rd-party plug-in (if there is one; I don't know any)
* save to MIF and search all <String> statements in the document body
(on UNIX: sed -n "/<TextFlow/,$ p" file.mif | egrep '<String .*text')
