No, No, No! You do not use the PPD the print shop tells you to use for
postscript generation from FrameMaker if that postscript is going to be
distilled. Also, step 5 is superfluous.
When producing a postscript file for Distiller, you use the PPD for
Distiller. Think about it. The whole purpose of a PPD is to produce
postscript that is compatible with the target device. The target device, in
this case, is Acrobat Distiller, NOT the printing device. Instead of sending
a postscript file to the print shop, you send the PDF file instead. The
print shop, when printing from Acrobat, selects the PPD for the target
printer.
