Gary,

If you properly installed Acrobat 5, there should already be a "printer"
labelled "Acrobat Distiller". If not, your installation of Acrobat 5 is
incomplete. Fully uninstall Acrobat 5 and REBOOT your system. With the 
Adobe Universal PostScript Driver Installer 1.0.6 (posted yesterday on 
Adobe.com), create a dummy "to FILE: port" PostScript driver instance with
the generic PPD. Then fully reinstall Acrobat 5 followed by the 5.0.5 
upgrade. You should then see a "Acrobat Distiller" printer instance.
Finally, delete that generic PostScript printer instance, poor a tall,
stiff drink, and enjoy the weekend (but don't drive after that drink).
