Subject: Bug report: Last line of balanced columns disappears before break

All:
I have had this happen when applying column breaks to keep Index main
entries with their subentries beginning on the next page. The Index has
balanced columns and fill columns. You apply Page Break > At Top of Next
Available [Column], the main entry flips to the top of the next column BUT
the last line of the para just preceding disappears. It's there because
you can right-arrow the insertion point through it (insertion point hangs
in 'space') but you cannot see the line and it does not print.
In my colleagues case, she is producing a two-column book with balance
columns. The section heading is set to start at top of next page but the
last line of body text immediately preceding (on page previous to section
heading) disappears. We added a bunch of empty paras before the section
heading and eventually the missing line reappears -- but of course the
columns are no longer balanced.
Anybody else seen this and come up with a workaround?
