I don't know why it would be absent since it is normally
installed as part of any and all installations of Windows 2000
and Windows XP. Possibly someone thought they were doing you a
favour by dumping it thinking that the Type 1 version would do
instead. The symbol.ttf file should be someplace on your Windows 2000
or XP install CDROM.
