Hello All,
I am using the "prun" method of combining multiple PostScript files into a
single PDF file. Here is a small section of my master PS file:
/prun { /mysave save def
dup = flush
RunFile
clear cleardictstack
mysave restore
} def
(D:/Scripts/SR22/FrontMatter/Introduction_p4.ps) prun
(D:/Scripts/SR22/FrontMatter/Introduction_p5.ps) prun
(D:/Scripts/SR22/FrontMatter/Introduction_p6.ps) prun
I am finding that this method is less than reliable, especially with a large
number of PS files (over 400). It will sometimes lock up my computer during
the processing. Sometimes it skips PS files; they will be listed in the log
window, but not distilled. I am using Distiller 7 on Windows XP with 1gb
RAM.
Has anyone else experienced problems with this? Is there a more reliable way
to combine multiple PS files into a single PDF? Thanks in advance.
